Scottish International Angler David McKay in contact with a fish today. We are fishing the Spring International together at Chew Valley Lake near Bristol in May.

Second Springer for Kinermony


Here is Davie Leith, winner of the Spey Quaich in 2006, with a very fresh fish of around 7-8lbs. The fish was caught on a Carron Floating line with 5' fast sink tip.

First Fish of the 2009 Season


Caught and released on Thursday on a Black & Yellow copper tube fly. A fish of around 6-7lbs.

Opening Day on the Spey




You will clearly see from the photo's above that the conditions weren't exactly ideal today. I didn't see anyone fishing around the Aberlour/Craigellachie area or at Arndilly on the way home. Plenty time yet!

First Cast of 2009






First cast of 2009 on the Dee at Cairnton, home of the legendary Arthur Wood. Only 4 Kelts and a Freelander in the ditch, so overall a day to forget - not remember!
